Why Afronoia?

Afronoia, “African mind,” strives to blow away clouds of ignorance that obscure African thinkers’ engagements with modernity. The platform highlights how these intellectuals engaged with pressing issues through art, music, literature, and philosophy.
Afronoia currently hosts two series. Book Reviews brings hard‑to‑access texts back into view, while Thinking the Present from the Past explores today’s issues through the insights of earlier African voices. Afronoia rests on the simple conviction that those who came before us have already offered solutions to the challenges we face today.
